I just checked out the Just Add Polish blog, and found the perfect challenge.

This will allow me to experience a lot of polishes that I bought, but have yet to try.

For the first day, the theme is One. Just one polish. I decided to keep the manicure simple, seeing this as a fresh new start. I filed down my nails, so that they are all on an even plane.

The color I chose is Essie’s Saturday Disco Fever.

This color is part of the 2013 Neons collection. Essie recommends using their Blanc as a base to make it pop, but since I’m only using 1 polish for the challenge, I omitted it.

I applied 3 coats to get the full color.

It has a semi glossy finish, that reminds me of jelly.

I added Seche Vite top coat for quick drying shine.

I thought that this manicure came out perfect, and didn’t want to add any embellishments to take away from the intensity of the color.

Here is a closer look.

I really like this color. I bought it during my first day at Nail Technician school. I had just learned about the history of nail beautification, and stopped in at a Duane Reade. In class, I was told that we would have to wait at least a month before we started doing practical work. I was antsy, and this color spoke to me. So, it came home with me.
