Today is the AIDS Walk in NYC. I have decided to walk, and figured my nails should be part of the festivities as well.

For this manicure, I’m using Essie polish in Blanc and Apertif, and the Fing’rs Nail Tattoo kit.

I got a $1.00 off coupon from the Rite Aid website on any nail art kit, so I decided to give it a try.

I started with 2 coats of polish on each nail. I added quick dry top coat to the white nails to ensure that they were completely dry before the next step.

I used the MTA subway map tattoo, because it’s a great representation of New York City.

The first step is to peel off the plastic.

Then, soak it in water, and place the tattoo side on the nail for 10 seconds. This releases the film on to your nail.

The next step is to add a top coat, and remove the excess from around the nail.

On the other white nail, I used a striping brush to draw the red ribbon that is synonymous with AIDS awareness.
Here is the finished result.

This manicure was very easy, and very cool.
