I truly believe that you can stretch your dollar if you know just where to look.

I recently went to the Financial District for a doctor’s visit. After each visit, I like to peruse Duane Reade to see if I find anything new or interesting in the beauty department. I found many nail polishes, but nothing really screamed “Buy Me”. But, in the back of the store, on a random junky sale table, I found a gem. Glitter pots that were originally $3.79 were now $0.94. SCORE!

I also went to Lot Less, which is one of my favorite discount stores. I just decided to check what they had, and to my surprise I found Essie Nail Polish for $2.99. I picked up the Lux Effects Stroke of Brilliance color.

Just this morning, I told myself that I needed to buy some body butter. I finished my last tub, and with summer drawing near, I don’t want to show any ashy skin. Lo and behold, there was body butter from The Body Shop at Lot Less. They had Acaí, Macadamia, and Vanilla. I bought vanilla because that is my favorite scent. Especially for summer. Checking the ingredients label, it has Shea butter, Cocoa butter, Soybean oil, Brazil Nut Oil, and Sweet Almond oil as emollients. If you have a nut allergy, this is not a great choice. However, it is Paraben free, yet there is a small bit of Silicone in it.

What I love about this, is the duality of it. There is one side for Normal skin, and another for Dry skin. So, you can moisturize both your legs and dry cracked heels before putting your pedicured feet into some sparkly sandals.

The dry skin portion is colored slightly darker, so you can differentiate the two. It smells just divine.
