Today’s Challenge topic is Floral. I have seen loads of design inspiration, but was really pleased when I came across the Make Nail Art blog, that had a Tutorial on an easy way to draw flowers.

For this manicure, I used Essie Blanc and Julep Teri.

I also used Sally Hansen’s Triple Strong Base Coat, Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat, toothpicks, a dotting tool, and a Rhinestone wheel.

I started with one coat of Teri polish, and applied Essie Blanc to my ring finger only, for the accent nail.

For the next step, I did each nail one by one.
I applied a second coat of Teri, then while it was still wet, used the dotting tool to create a cluster of 5 circles.

Using the toothpick, I dragged the circles out radiating from the middle, then inward a second time toward the center.

I continued drawing flowers in this manner for the rest of my nails.

After that was complete, I added rhinestones to the center of each flower.

I love this design. Today was the first nice day that felt like Spring in New York. So, the flower motif is very fitting. I’m so happy that the weather is warming up.
