I received my March Maven box yesterday! Here are the goods.

My style profile is Modern Beauty. Julep changed their policy, and decided to send all products to Modern Beauties instead of nail polishes with a product. I’m fine with that, because I already own so many of their polishes, and I can still order individual polishes as add-ons.

So, in my Modern Beauty box, I received a Glycolic Hand Scrub, Rock Star Hand Creme, and Strawberry Mint Lip Balm.

After removing my last manicure, I immediately tested out the scrub and lotion.

The scrub definitely made my hands smoother and brighter. It did a great job of exfoliating without being too rough. There was no redness or irritation.

The creme went on smooth and non-greasy and instantly penetrated my skin. It has a mixture of Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and vitamin E to keep hands well hydrated. Julep claims that this moisture lasts after hand washing. So, I gave it a try. After the wash, my hands didn’t feel dry like they usually do. Way to go, Julep!
So, now that the hands are fully moisturized and have a light fruity/citrusy scent, it’s time to paint.

These add on colors are new colors that were debuted for March. They are Shenae, Adrianna, and Teri. I decided to use Shenae for my March Nail Art Challenge.
The topic is Stripes, so I decided to stripe 1 nail diagonally using a tape technique.
Firstly, I applied 2 coats of Shenae and a top coat of Seche Vite on all nails.

Then, I used thin pieces of scotch tape to mark off where I wanted my stripes to be. I filled in the spaces with Julep’s Amy and Essie’s Blanc.

I removed the tape to reveal clean lines.

I then carefully applied Silver Holographic striping tape to the seams, making it pop.

I followed with a coat of Seche Vite to seal the tape.

Here is my stripe manucure.
