This month, I decided to embark on this Challenge.

For my Chevron manicure, I decided to use a Julep mini gift set that I bought as an add-on to my January monthly Maven subscription purchase. The cost of this set was $14.99, compared to the regular cost of $14 per polish. What can I say? Being a member has its perks!

This collection is called Fiji Lagoon. The colors remind me of a nice evening on the beach, sipping Coconut Water and snacking on Banana Fritters.

The colors are Blake, Courteney, and Robin.

For my base color, I started with 2 coats of Blake.

Then, I added Courteney by freehand drawing the Chevron inverted triangle shape. I could have used tape, but I really didn’t feel like waiting for the polish to dry completely. My hands were steady.

Lastly, I painted Robin along the edge in the chevron shape.

I used a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to clean the edges, then applied Seche Vite quick dry top coat.

VIOLA!
