During the Christmas holiday, I received my pre-order of Julep’s Freedom Polymer Top Coat.

It launches in the middle of January, but since I am a Julep Maven member, they sent it to me early. No complaints over here. Let’s put it to the test.

I was pleased to find this on my desk when I walked in to the office today. Yippeeee! My January Maven Box. The cost of the box is $19.99, and each polish usually retails at $14.00. What a bargain! Also, being able to choose a new color scheme every month or declining for that month and waiting for the next upcoming month is priceless. But, why would I decline such pretty colors?

The box included 3 colors, Swatch Me stickers, and 3 neon hair ties. This is the “It Girl” color selection.

I decided to use Nina for my manicure. I have been working on a Powerpoint presentation’s color scheme all day, and it included a similar color. So, why not. I find inspiration everywhere.

This is after applying 2 coats. The polish has a thick, full coverage consistency. It looks semi-matte when dry.

I then added rhinestones to my ring finger using So Easy’s For Rhinestones Only.
Here is the finished product. It is very glossy.

I will be checking daily to see how many days this will last. Julep says it lasts twice as long as regular top coats. They recommend reapplying every 2-3 days. I think I will just not reapply at all, to really test how long it lasts. The other great thing about it is you get gel quality shine without having to do the finger wrapped in foil gel removal. Regular nail polish takes it off. Even the non
– Acetone version. I will test that out too.

The retail price is $18.00, but the Julep Maven price is $14.40. The next shipment is February 7th. However, mavens get a free bottle in their monthly shipment. Woot woot! I can’t wait until next month to get an extra one. I have a feeling this will be a very hot commodity for any manicurist.
